The Fine Print

The goal for this group is to hold wholesome, fun activities for teens to do on a regular basis to form and strengthen friendships.  Any teenager that schools at home is welcome to join, provided they will treat all others in the group in a kind and respectful manner.

  1. The minimum age for participation in this group is 13.  You may join in on the fun the month that your 13th birthday arrives.  Please respect this rule.
  2. When coming to activities, everyone should be dressed in an appropriate fashion.  Immodest apparel is not acceptable.  This refers to girls and boys alike.  Girls problem areas could include low cut shirts or shirts or shorts that are too short.  Shirts should be able to overlap pants.  Boys problem areas could include pants not pulled up over the buttocks.  (In other words, no part of  bellies, bosoms, or bottoms should be visible.)
  3. Our group will always clean up after themselves and make sure they leave the place looking better because we were there.
  4. No member of our group should use crude, rude and foul language.
  5. Everyone should do their part in making sure everyone else feels included.  Learn names and ask questions.
  6. For the greatest success, we will need help planning fun activities.  Please offer your suggestions!  Please also offer to check on special rates or offer to set up special events.
  7.  Feel free to bring guests that are interested in home education to activities on occasion, provided they will follow all the rules.
  8. Our members will always treat others as they would like to be treated.
  9. No personal information will be made public through the web page or other means by the group moderator.
  10. While these outings are organized by the Connole family, we do not take responsibility/liability for your child at these activities.  Parents are responsible for their child's behavior.  Parents must make sure that their child knows what they are to do in case of emergency.  Dropping the child off and picking up is completely the responsibility of the parent.  If an accident occurs, it is the sole responsibility of the parent to make sure the child is taken care of.  Please make sure that your children are aware of what you expect of them,  just the same as if they were out with neighborhood friends at the mall or somewhere without you.

Repeated failure to honor the rules may result in dismissal from the group. Contact will be made and discussions had with any offender’s parent or guardian. We expect everyone to be on their best behavior.  Each member of the group is representing not only the “East Valley Home Schooling Teens”, but also home schoolers in general. What one member does reflects on the rest of us.  We don’t anticipate having any problems in this area.   We hope it will never happen that we have to ask someone not to attend activities anymore.
